Niseko Village Resort is one of four interconnected resorts which make up the Niseko United collection on Niseko Annupuri mountain.
Niseko Village - Offering Style and Steeper slopes.
Positioned between Annupuri Resort and Grand Hirafu Resort, Niseko Village Resort has something to offer everyone. While the base of this resort is perfect for beginners, thanks to its gentle runs and beginner-friendly lifts, Niseko Village has some of the steepest terrain on the mountain. Stunning views of Mount Yotei can be snapped from the top of the resort, whilst the impressive Hilton Niseko hotel resides at the base.
With a single gondola servicing the majority of groomers in this resort, guests can expect some of the longest runs here out of four the Niseko United Resorts. Those who hold an All Mountain Lift Pass can easily reach the other three resorts, Hanazono, Grand Hirafu and Annupuri.
Not only does Niseko Village Resort have some of the steepest runs, it also offers some fantastic off-piste skiing, which can be easily explored by the help of a backcountry guide.
Off mountain, the village found at the base of the runs opposite the gondola offers guests fine restaurants and bars, and art and cultural events are often held here. The architecture in the village is inspired by traditional Japanese machiya (think sliding screens, latern-lit walkways and wooden lattice exteriors) which gives this slope-side village a classy contemporary feel.
Top tip: Check out The Lookout Café - an award-winning restaurant (claiming the "Best International Restaurant award" at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards UK) unreachable by car or ski lifts. Find this mountainside café just a short ski away from the top of Niseko Gondola - open only in the winter season!
